Itallian Beef Stuffed Bread

There is a restaurant near my town that makes beef rolls once a week. People line up around the building to pick them up. I have friends that look forward to it all week and then once they get it, hoard it until the weekend and reheat it. I had a tub of Italian beef and some frozen bread dough in my freezer and thought I could create it. It was awesome! Although...how could you go wrong with fresh crusty bread brushed with garlic butter and stuffed with beef and cheese.  Are you drooling just thinking about it?

Italian Beef Stuffed Bread

1 frozen bread dough- thawed in the fridge for 9 hours
1 26oz tub of frozen Italian beef ( I used Papa Charlies)
2 cups mozzarella
2 tbsp butter melted with 1 tbsp garlic and Italian season

Heat oven to 350. Roll out thawed bread into a rectangle on a cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray.

Drain beef by using a strainer over a sauce pan. Reserve the au jus in the pan for later.

Spread a cup of cheese on the bread. Place the beef over the cheese. Spread the remainder of the cheese on the beef. Roll up the short ends of the bread and meet the long ends in the middle. Pinch to seal.

Bake for 30 minutes. At 30 minutes, brush on melted garlic butter. Bake for 5 more minutes. At this time, start heating the au jus. When done, cut into serving size pieces and dip in au jus. Enjoy!
